I have found this idle jet is threaded into the lower body with a 10-32 thread. It is a thick walled tube so you can get a firm hold on it and it will come out. Don't know how they set the height...

Yes, I found leather washers in the GAV. I replaced them with same and no issues here.

Got back from 4670 mile trip.
Trip resulted in 21.4 mpg. Stopped once due to fuel filter, glass bowl and filter, plugged with junk from tank. Was headed home in Wy. Changed filter and back on...

The only problem I have with mine it it stops when it doesn't get gas, fuel filter blocked it. I run an air filter on mine with a balanced system.

The cam shaft turns once to the cranks 2 turns so they will only line up once per cam rev. Think about it.

I have no issues with my 12v timing light. It still fires when number one fires. Just make sure you hook up the battery (power leads) correctly on the standard 6v system. No issues on mine.

If using modern points, you can get platinum or tungsten for longer life. Little more expensive but good.
