Re: aviation gas

I am fortunate to be in a small town 2 miles from the local airport. They let me pull onto the runway and fill up. I prefer running 100LL AvGas in my cars. I have the timing advanced 2 degrees to...

Re: First 100 Miles!!! Or a touch more. My '39 Pickup

Hot air heaters existed through 1946. That certainly is what you are seeing. The pickup Hot Air Heater parts (ducts, etc) often differ from the passenger car and are quite rare

Re: 1934 Ford auction results

You guys that think that was a high price, I think it was on target. I am weird though. I imagine myself in 1933 and given I have a kid, two dogs and a wife I would walk into a ford dealer and buy a...

Re: Anyone use these drill/tap all in one?

I have a Irwin set that I use frequently, slow speed and a drop of oil and they work well as long as it is a through hole on thinner material.

Re: gas pedal linkage 46 48 v8

As a side note, the 9727 linkage goes through the floor pan not the firewall (there is no seal aside from the fact it passes through the floor mat), and the 9714 insulators are not used when using...

Re: Skip's rebuilt coils

Exactly, who cares! I have no desire or need to reverse engineer someone else idea or product. Especially like I said when he charges a mere $75. Try taking a original coil apart, cleaning the S***T...

Re: Skip's rebuilt coils

Skip does 4-5 coils a month for us. One time I accidentally dropped one and it took a hard fall, and shattered into 30 pieces exposing the inside. I believe he is just replacing the unit with a...

That gauge C&G lists is poor quality and has been out of stock for 2 years. We used to stock them.

Re: 36-39 hubcap what is it

I've has a Wide 5 cap similar to the one in this thread. I believe they were aftermarket. You've likely seen the Model A hubcaps that say "Fool" instead of "Ford" in the typical Ford script as CAS3...
