In the past heated some old babbitt and pored the liquid into a small angle iron in a V for a mold. The result was a stick of babbitt about the size of a pencil which worked well with the old style...

I was surprised to learn that my 1959 Triumph TR3 made in England uses all USA standard nuts and bolts. Just a few tiny screws under the dash holding the instruments were not SAE but Whitworth.

I am running inner tubes that were purchased from Snyder's forty years ago and they have been used in three sets of tires which I have warn out. No need to change to new tubes when changing tires.

I can't quite wrap my head around the statement that mechanical spoke wheels carry only half the load of welded spoke wheels.thus are prone to early fatigue.

Or it could be the gas tank sealers that were sold twenty to thirty ago that are now breaking down and turning in a black tar like goo. I have seen this before on other people's cars.

We were on tour a few years ago in Yellowstone Park when a fire started in a Model A. The foot starter rod did not have a jam nut attached holding the rod into the starter . The rod came loose...

Just a little advice,before you bolt the belt rail solid confirm that your doors are closing the way you want.
The belt rail can sometimes spread the sides of the body in and out which can change...
