Re: LED Headlights

Folks keep asking about focus, so I got Squeaky Betsy out in the cold misty rain for a quick demo tonight. Her headlights are not aligned correctly, so please don't beat me over the head about that....

Re: LED Headlights

I was concerned about this early in the design too. It was pointed out to me that the 21/21 - 32/50 bulbs emit like an isotropic emitter (light in all directions). It is brighter up and down than...

Re: LED Headlights

We first built these with 4300K and, although brighter, they looked just as bad as the original bulbs. Regarding D.O.T. approval, I like what Snyder's says on their website:

Nobody seems to...

Re: LED Headlights

Not my company, but I do work for Logo Lites.

The LED emitters were painstakingly designed to be in the exact same location as the two incandescent filament in the original bulb. Moving the LED...

Lightbulb LED Headlights

Logo Lites now sells bright white LED Headlights for Model T, A, and early B Fords. They are as bright as a modern halogen, but pull less current than the 32/50 CP bulb. They focus like the...

Firewall for Late 31 Indented

Looking for a late 1931 firewall with the indentation for the under-hood fuel cutoff valve. If it matters, I'm putting it on a 5 window coupe.

Re: Firewall Screw/Bolt Size?

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! You guys saved my backside on this project. 10-32 is the right size for my 30/31 firewalls. Factory D nut, and there is just no way to get a #12 in that hole. I'm glad I...

Question Firewall Screw/Bolt Size?

I don't have access to a 28 or 29, but my both my 30 and 31 firewalls take a 10-32 screw in the clip that secures the generator cutout wire to the firewall at the terminal box. Can anyone tell me if...

Sideways Ring Terminals

Can anyone tell me a source for the "sideways" ring terminals like the ones on coil wires? (like http://htsmall.macsautoparts.com/assets/macs/images/size/600x/sku/64-21388.jpg)

I'm trying to fix...

Re: Cowl Lamp Wiring

Hey, THANKS guys! VERY helpful! I found two openings there by using a light under the car to shine back up into that area.

Are those openings there on all cars 28-31?

Cowl Lamp Wiring

In cars WITH cowl lamps, how does the harness get through the firewall from the light switch to the lamp harness in the passenger compartment?

In cars WITHOUT cowl lamps (like mine), how did Ford...

https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=245814&stc=1&d=1447256947

Red face Double Clutch Upshift

I've had my 1931 Model A for 20 years, and for the last 10 she was in storage. She has maybe 50 miles on her "newly rebuilt" motor from 20 years ago. In the last few months I got her out of storage...

Re: Stop Light Problem

In my experience on all kinds of vehicles (not just Model As), when chasing the open circuit, people tend to focus on the bulb and then the supply wires. It is common to neglect the chassis, which...
