Re: Turkey Day but The Hawks Are Out There

I have often thought that a lot more people would reply to Wanted Ads if those posting the ads would state what they are prepared to pay for a part in the condition they are looking for. Sellers...

Re: 31 coupe windshield brackets

I've seen them done both ways, but believe that the way shown in your picture is correct. Are there any clues (rust) on your pieces?

Re: Replacing only the main leaf spring with a new one?

There’s no doubt that the shape and condition of the leaves above the main leaf has a definite effect on the overall shape and performance of the spring assembly. Each leaf moving from bottom to top...

Re: California fires??

Vern's located on the eastern outskirts of Windsor - most recent maps I can find show that area either in or very close to the fires - definitely not good.

Re: Failing gas tank sealant

So are you suggesting that you've experienced or seen problems with the Hirsch brand sealer?

Anyone else ever had problems with the Hirsch brand?

Re: Early V8 axle under Model A front end

Much of this is incorrect, in that 1935-36 axles are identical to 1933-34. The method of spring mounting differs between those years but there is no difference in the axles themselves. 1932 axles...

Re: Early V8 axle under Model A front end

You are correct. Also the kingpin spacing is the same. As well, axles from 1933 to 1936 are all identical. 1932 axles have a thicker, heavier cross section but otherwise also have the same spacing...

Re: Front Axle Fasteners

In case you're not aware, as well as the difference in diameter of the backing plate to spindle bolts, the spacing of the 4 bolts is also different between the Model A spindles and the later...

Re: taillight stand under fender bracket picture request

Todd, I can take some pictures of how the under fender bracket attaches if you still need the information. The picture you posted doesn't show the 90 degree bend and 2nd. mounting hole that should...

Not only sad, but unbelievable!! Don didn't collect junk - no doubt 3 warehouses full sold for micro-pennies on the dollar.

Re: Coupe I.D. challenge

You guys nailed it, good job.

As far as the wheels/Hubcaps on the Model A go, I don't think that in the original thread they reached a conclusion as to what's there.
