Re: Reinstalling fenders, splash shields

Re: I'm a Movie Star!

I once had a '65 Mustang, and in the 1990's people used to wave at me and give me thumbs up like I was a movie star. I always used to comment about that. Now I have a Model A, and the movie star...

Re: uploading pirtues

I experience this on another forum not related to cars. I wonder why, oh why, in this age of apps and programs that do everything you can imagine, but can't seem to tell us why it won't accept a...

Re: Headlight Switch Issue

You said you replaced the switch. Did you replace the switch that comes with the complete harness too?

The reason I ask is that the plug ends of the harness that connect to the headlight bucket...

Re: LED Tail Light Saga Part 2

I wonder if something with your bumper or the bumper brace is sprung. I only know mine but there is no tension in the bumper mounts. That being said, I have *plenty* of other misfits going on, so...

Re: Water pumps, playing around

The suppliers sell an inexpensive collar you can buy that is a fix that does not require brazing or a new pump.

I bought a new leakless pump that did not need collars or brazing.

Re: Loose Quarter Windows

Well just to keep in on Model A's, one of the front windows on my '29 Tudor does the opposite. Once it is cranked all the way open, it wants to inch itself back up again. I blame the Vintique widow...

Re: Mike wings aka "wingski"

He was an interesting guy, and was going through a lot of pain that was the result of an accident years and years ago. Perhaps he was very sensitive, but none the less, a nice person. His Model A...

Mine are not bowed. Hood is a little off, but rods are straight.

Re: To Frequent Drivers: What Function Concerns You The Most?

I consider myself to be pretty good with average complexity mechanical issues of any car, so not much concerns or worries me, If it did, my beloved wife and I would probably not venture out on tours...

Re: Floorboard Material??

My early '29 Tudor still had the original floorboard in the back seat area. It was made of hardwood boards tied together with a pair of steel straps on the underside surface. One board was so gone...

Re: OT-Seattle vacation to do's

That's the fish market at the main entrance to the Pike St. Market. They do throw the fish and it is pretty fun to watch. Does smell like fish, but what open air fish market doesn't? The rest of...

Re: How much oil consumption is acceptable?

"acceptable" is a relative term. If you have a car that you drive very occasionally due to state licensing or insurance restrictions, then the cost of rebuilding the engine might seem excessive just...

Re: Headlight Electrical Draw

Several variables that affect the draw. Ammeter accuracy being one. The type of headlight and tail light bulbs is another, and where the third brush of the generator is set being a third, and the...

Re: 1928 Tudor sedan rear seat

No pictures but the top of the frame steel hangs from two metal hangers just below and to either side of the rear window. At the bottom of the seat back are heavy wire loops that hang down and small...

Re: Dead

One of your questions was whether the starter rod rubbing on the gas control arm could be a reason for your starting and dead battery issue. The answer to that is no.
