Re: Amber lens for 29 cowl lights

Thanks, I did search for the amber lens, but nothing came up. I guess no one still makes amber lens for the 28-29's. Should be a market considering they make them for 30-31's.

Amber lens for 29 cowl lights

Does anybody make amber lens for the 29 cowl lights? I know they make them for 30-31, but I haven't been able to come up with them for my 29.

Re: Where are the Model A concept cars?

I might be wrong, but didn't Ford have a ohv v8 in 1917. Seems I remember reading about one. Probably a prototype.

Re: Tainted BP gasoline alert

In another life (before I quit workin') I serviced the computer equipment at an Exxon tank farm. The gasoline went out of there on Gulf, Quaker State and several other brands besides Exxon. They told...

Re: Side Mount Spares vs. Rear Mount

I have the duel side mounts on my 29 Roadster and that was part of what drew me to the car...... that and the rumble seat.

Re: Model A Ford Storage

I keep my Harley in a bubble. They make them in car size too. It has a muffin fan with a filter on the one end. It's light and no condensation at all. Collapses for summer storage to a small...

Re: rubberized white wall tire paint on eBay

Honest, that's all....er, except maybe for the red and white tuck and rolled
upholstery. I bought the car that way, honest!!! Why the man had that done, I don't know. But it looks like new and as I...

Re: rubberized white wall tire paint on eBay

Ross, I would have gone for the port-a-walls, but I have never found them for 21 inch wheels.

Re: rubberized white wall tire paint on eBay

Hey, I didn't mean to start a ruckess. My car is a driver and I just think the WWW set the car off better than the blackwalls. This is my personal opinion. Sorry for any problems I might have caused...

Re: 1929 4dr?

I blew the picture up to 400% and it does not have a 28/29 cowl. I agree the wheels look to be 21 inch , but that cowl goes straight down like a 30/31.

rubberized white wall tire paint on eBay

Anyone use this stuff? I searched and couldn't find any threads. Plus, did a Google search and really couldn't find any reviews. I bought my 29 roadster with like new blackwalls, but I really like...

Re: buying a car long distance

I was under the impression to see the vin number on Model A's you have to remove the body to see the stamped number on the frame. In my case the vin on my title is the motor number, as was for the...

Re: Everyone should own a copy of the Model A Service Bulletins

Re: Gas gauge reads backwards

Yep, you were right..... the float is laying on the bottom. It must have been bouncing a little as the gas was starting to slosh around and that's why the 1/4 would start to show. I ordered a new...

Re: Gas gauge reads backwards

When I drive, the gauge moves, so do you think it is still the float? I've never let the tank drop below the 1/4 mark, so I guess I'll have to see how far down (up?) the gauge will register.

Re: Gas gauge reads backwards

No, they read correctly and when it reads 0 I can see the bottom of the metal under the zero indicater.

And thank you for the welcome.

Gas gauge reads backwards

I'm new to the forum and after 50+ years, again have a Model A (29 Roadster).

My gas gauge reads 0 when the tank is full and then starts backwards starting from 1/4 on up as the gas level goes...
