No. This started at the end of summer.
I did notice something tonight. As you know the fuel bowl is over the carb on a teapot carb. The two screws that hold it to the carb were somewhat loose...

Sal it’s just piece of mind getting rid of the teapot carb and vacuum advanced distributor. Plus it would probably run even better with 57 and up parts/setup.
But I will check the float I have...

Checked trans fluid. Good.
Never touched distributor so that’s ruled out.
I will try some carb cleaner around intake gaskets.
I’m thinking of getting rid of this load o matic distributor...

54 Merc surging at stop in gear.
I’m at a loss right now with my 54 Merc 256 y block. Car has been great all summer and all of a sudden it starts like surging or rpm’s dip at a stop in drive. Automatic car.
Rebuilt teapot...

Halibrand 101 question
Hey everyone. On a Halibrand 101 qc for model a tubes. Is there a special carrier to use so it will not interfere with the main shaft ? Or do you just machine the carrier to clear the shaft.

Installed everything from the kit. Even got a new starter that was 12 volt while I was at it. Cars starts great. Headlights and all are perfect.

I bought the vintage kit. In my eyes it was worth it. Got a 12v power gen and all the fixings. Getting rid of the points and new plug wires too.

Well mine has the 4barrel 4v carb on it now. I’m swapping over to a 57 intake and 2 barrel Holley 2300 carb with 57 distributor and oil pump gear.
I have seen some sun valley cars with 2 barrel...

I could have gotten. Higher amp 6v alternator for brighter lights but this thing needs some faster cranking. New battery and wires are still not to my liking. It starts but just not very fast. ...
