Did you check the throw out bearing in the bell housing there is also a grease fitting that requires grease ,that noise maybe radiating through the bell housing hope this helps Joe !

I youse a product called engine shine made by Gunk .You just spay it on wait a minute and wipe off with a with a clean dry cloth works great.Also a black sharpie marker on the head bolt studs works...

Buddy have you tried a good cleaning?There is a passageway that goes between the lower gav and the lower bowl if that is plugged you will not have any adjustments for leaning it out . Hopefully some...

If the wood is bad then it would probably costs more to restore, if you belong to a model a club I bet the members would allow you to check out their cars and you can judge better what might car...

I believe that it could simply be that the float is set to low ? Easy to check best of luck to you
