Re: Best Replacement Radiator

I love these "Best" threads. Much useful info comes out of them, but most performance is based on personal experiences. I run a Bergs and am very happy with it, but will not claim it to be an...

Re: 6v coil restistance

If you have a good 1.5 ohm coil - install it and space a spark plug lead away from its spark plug terminal. Gradually increase the gap until the motor starts missing/running rough. Install the 2.5...

Re: convert to LED headlights

Thanks for the info, my logo lights do flicker some at lower speeds. I put up with it, figured I must have poor connections somewhere, never took the time to investigate. When I bought them thought...

Sorry, I meant to only add to the discussion in case others were unaware. Probably should not have quoted you and phrased my post differently.

Re: Bolt / Nut tightening torques

Be aware the Les recommended torque for oil pan bolts is way off, too much torque. If you torque to his listed , the gasket will squish out and wreck the gasket.

Re: convert to LED headlights

If you do a search on LEDs here on the Barn, there is a ton of info on them including the Logo-lights. It is somewhat confusing since some say they are great, others object to them saying they do...

John Holland rebuilds them, did mine, he is a wealth of knowledge and is willing to talk with you. Try him, is old school and only uses the phone, no texting or computer.

Re: TDC Finder

I aways take the plugs out, take the distributor cap off, line up the rotor to the cylinder 1 distributor body contact via hand crank or wrench on the crank nut , then use the timing pin. Gets you...

Re: Fuel leaking when shut off valve is closed

If the shutoff is an issue fix, then leave it on overnight and see if you again get the gas smell - if yes you have a carb issue, typically it is the float valve, but there are many other carb...
