Re: What the Difference? TT Express bed Vs AA Bed

I disassembled and sectioned a very rusty TT express bed for a hot rod and it was easy to see where the subframe and cross members matched the T frame rails and mounting holes. I imagine an AA bed...

Re: Another rare one

Seems easy enough to plop an open cab on an AA? Could have been at the the dealer or at home. CCPU and open cab have the same footprint from cowl to back, no?
Perhaps the term "roadster" implies...

Re: Model T electric fuel pump.

You could add a hand pump to pressurize the fuel tank only when and only as much as necessary. Requires some creative plumbing and a cap with no hole, and a relief valve somewhere but better than an...

Re: Ran when parked $500

Someone save her! I wish my trucks’ hood fit that nicely. My hotrod 29 pickup with mustang running gear started that rough, with a tree growing through it! Perfect candidate for channeling and a roof...

Re: Model A vs Model T

I alternate between the T and A, sometimes twice a day. The T is harder to start if it’s cold and the A doesn’t care, just needs choke. I find the T easier to drive (once I practiced a while, haha)...

Re: Owning a model T vs model A

I was “around” back when this thread was started, but building V8 cars at the time. I have since gotten a Model A and a Model T and like both more than the hotrods! I can’t help choose between one...

Re: preserving a model t

Start with your local model t club, most have a newsletter with classifieds and word of mouth among members is even better. List it on the AACA and MTFCA forums and not the HAMB or your local...

Re: 29 Pickup for sale

Truly, the purchase price will be just a start, but damn that’s a good start if you want to end up with a nice model A. I got lucky and scored an inexpensive complete chassis out from under a body...

Re: 29 Pickup for sale

Swoop it quick, or tell me where it’s at! Just kidding, but closed cab pickups are usually in wayyyyy worse shape than that one. The price is great even if it needs major mechanical work. I guess a...

Re: Colorado Rockies to Pike's Peak Mid-winter Road Trip

Wow! That’s a dangerous loop any time of year in any car or truck! Of course you are accustomed to the Utah high country and it’s normal hazards. For those that have not been between the front range...

Re: Model a head on model b engine

High compression Model A head allows modern, “leakless” A water pump that is cheaper and easier to get than reworking or buying a B motor pump. Not a huge difference but keeping the B head does add...

Re: Majestic generator output control

The “Tinkerin’ Tips” in the Vintage Ford magazine had a description of a generator regulating system like this for the T. Didn’t look it back up, but If I remember correctly you pull the third brush...

Re: 56 Zephyr start Part 2. Can we actually get it to run?

Great video Mart, so suspenseful! My buddy (mk2Colorado) just inherited this Zephyr his stepdad used as a daily driver for years and years. We have been going through the wiring and experimenting...

Re: Outsmarting the smart battery charger / maintainer

Curtis- could you please post a drawing of your wiring layout. I too like all the power through the key switch and wonder how ours may differ. More than one right way to do it for sure…. Thanks!...

Re: 1937 original picup demise

Not to be a smart @$$, but there's plenty of unfinished, and new, whole streetrod chassis out there to grab and drop the body on. For possibly less money than adding a clip to the front and all new...

Re: 51 merc needs a little speed up

I feel like you're floating a golden raft in a sea of turds. If you got your car up to 70 then someone doing 80 would be pissed. People trying to cut 5 minutes off a twenty minute trip will never be...

Re: 35-37 pickups. Why so many black fenders?

It's true! The Cooch's carpet matches the drapes, know what I'm sayin'? Can't tell in that photo, but under the three coats of house paint are in fact body colored front fenders. The trucks original...

Re: Location of members?

I don't mind describing a vague location on a forum, but printing the Early V8 club roster showing the street address and kind of vehicles a person has there is an unsafe practice these days. Make...

Re: picked up a 1935 pickup project

Restored window regulator is awesome! That's digging deep and coming up gold right there- no such thing as "free time". Great whole car build thread, love the blurry line between "repaired" and...

Don't let my old' lady find out it takes 18 yrs sometimes! She's on my case after three and a half! Car looks fantastic- every minute of that long process has paid off! Except that one minute, the...

Re: NY Times on the demise of the automotive cult

People like to commute in their own cars because there's an instinct at work. It tells us that the transportation of bodies in large groups, without individualism or personality is for livestock, not...

Re: Swap Meet, Alameda, CA October 24th

That was a proper little swap meet! I was in town from way out in Colorado and made a point to go. Cool location at the naval museum, great weather all day and really nice vendors with way more car...
