Re: 1936 Ford Roadster Fiberglass Body

Yikes, sorry Mike! I got my 'Mike's' all mixed up. It was Mike Morris who bought out the company from Pat Mooney. Sorry to use your name.

Re: 1936 Ford Roadster Fiberglass Body

Pat Mooney developed his roadster bodies in the early-1980's. These Mooney bodies were designed to replace steel bodies, and looked identical in most details. By 1991 Mooney had sold out to Mike...

Re: 1933-34 shifter stick into post-34 tran?

The length of the stick below the pivot ball (inside the trans tower/cover) is the problem of early versus late sticks.

Re: 1933-34 shifter stick into post-34 tran?

By welding, I mean above the pivot ball. But, I would have to start with the correct lower end of the late stick which I don't even have yet!

1933-34 shifter stick into post-34 tran?

I haven't studied the possibility, but maybe someone has tried it. I have a really nice chrome 1934 shifter stick that I would like to use on a '39 trans. Of coarse, the lower end is too short from...

Speedometer interchange

Will the internal works from a 1937 - 1939 speedometer work in the speedo case of a 1935-36 speedometer? The placement of the screws and odometers look to be the same, and the sweep looks the same...

Re: Service Bulletin for serial stamp change - need scanned copy

Thanks, I've seen that site. I'm looking for the Ford issued document that tells the authorities that when they see a capital letter "I" stamped that it means a numeral "1", as they will see when...

Re: Service Bulletin for serial stamp change - need scanned copy

Someone should at least have the hardcover compilation that's been out for decades; the "Ford V8 Service Bulletin" book. Feb. 1931 or maybe April 1938 are issues I've seen referenced.

Service Bulletin for serial stamp change - need scanned copy

I would like to get a PDF copy of the section from the 1931 service bulletin that changed the serial stamp fonts. The change in look of the 1,6 and 9 in particular. The later 1938 and 1940...

Re: Later rear in earlier car...

I've mounted a '46 axle under a '36, and the 35-36 spring was the correct length to give angled shackles. The pre-35 springs are narrower than the 35 and later ones, and grinding them will only...

Re: Vintique, Inc.

Re: 1936 roadster top folding tips ?

Re: 1934 Rumble to trunk conversion

1934 Rumble to trunk conversion

Can the rumble seat lid for a 1934 Ford cabriolet be converted to a conventional trunk? Are the mounting holes for the hinges on both the lid and body? Other changes??

Thanks

Steve
