The dealer rep was not correct. The type of pads installed at the plants are available through dealer parts departments for late model vehicles, but at a higher cost and may need to be ordered....

Thanks for the info. I sounds like the cabriolet was never ment to come with a conventional trunk. I didn't know that.
The car has been modified (LONG ago) in a way that eliminated the body...

1934 Rumble to trunk conversion
Can the rumble seat lid for a 1934 Ford cabriolet be converted to a conventional trunk? Are the mounting holes for the hinges on both the lid and body? Other changes??
