My local ACE Hardware stocks SIERRA which I also like due to its non-toxic contents and resistance to foaming. I use it with DISTILLED WATER at around $1 per gallon at Stop & Shop.

Front Spring Shackle Removal

Are there any ways to remove the front spring shackles other than pounding away on them? I have one side about 1/2" out and wonder about some small air tool or something.

You mentioned "Checking the fuse" when no starter was present.
FWIW, Davey, the fuse they checked has no effect on the operation of the starter motor.

My heater says MODEL A on it and just slips on the top. It has an arrangement for a bolt to go to a head nut, but I just use 10" stainless hose clamps and snug them up after going through and around...

My rebuilt engine with balanced crankshaft and stock rear end just eats up 50 mph with no vibrations or...
