You did a great job on that stainless trim. That's got to be a time-consuming job to do. Especially filing so not to remove too much material and end up putting a hole in it.

I've had Paul's Chrome do some work for me in the past. The results were excellent, they are pricey but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Try putting some valve grinding compound in the screw slot then try to turn it out. If that doesn't work drill a hole in the screw and use an e-z out on it.

He should not have tried to force it in place, by running the bolts down without the distributor seating where it belonged. If you repair a part for someone and they don't install it correctly it is...

Very sad losing your shop, templates, customer vehicles and hard to find materials. At an older age it is difficult to recover from that type of disaster.

Try Eurton Electric Company phone # 800 423-4789, there in California. They rebuilt the heater motor for my '48 Ford 2 speeds for heat 2 for defrost. They are expensive but it works like new.
