I have the same oil pan as pictured with the separate "boss" On the inside is what looks like a solid plate (part of the mount.?) it has a very small hole in the bottom (hard to see)

Do a search, both here & on H.A.M.B. Someone has already tried this. A lot of work and expense, and the results were not all that good.!! Ask me how I know.?

My "crew chief" gets the credit for those. Found at the local hobby shop. Model airplane builders use it, comes in mylar sheets. The caps came from "Welch's " jelly jars.

We are taking this fuel (or lack of it) one step at a time, starting at the tank. Yes the gas tank/cap is vented. The coils are mounted vertically.
