Don't blame the new head until you are certain that the timing is correct. Lot's of info on You Tube to help....

I got one of those Ares tools from Amazon and it worked great. I was blessed that the old studs came loose with just a little nudge with a 24" breaker bar. One hand pulling on the end of the breaker...

Recently changed out all mine for chrome moly grade 8 studs. A little anti- seize on them. Just remember that the #8 stud is a bit longer than the rest of the short ones. That is for the ignition...

An oil change will require about 4 1/2 qts to fill it up. I buy the 5 qt Castrol 10-40 jug at Wal Mart, poor 1 qt into a plastic bottle for a later date, add the four qts to the car and then add a 15...

Try sealer as suggested, then as rotorwrench said you may need to pull the head. If you did not put a bit of silicone sealer on the head bolts when they you installed them I would do that next time....

Put the correct first. Can't imagine being able to do it later. When I replaced the clutch in my 52 F-1 I had my new clutch and PP ready to go and after a closer look found that the TO Hub was worn....

"Take it back to the rebuilder." Or, at the very least give him a call with your concerns. If you start pulling heads and stuff the rebuilder may tell you that it was fine when it left his shop........

Had to drill mine about half an inch before it would budge. Use cardboard as advised. Mine was easy because my medal fabricator son was visiting and insisted on doing the task for his Pop's... Good...
