No markings on the lip below the water jacket. Compression is around 50. So, unlikely that this is a high compression head.

Question Head Label

Does anyone have a guess as the origin of the head shown in the attached picture? One stamping/label says "MADE N U.S.A" and the other one says "2-28-33".

In watching the Diablo A's DVD on removing and installing an engine, it mentions that the throttle bracket that bolts to the back of the bell housing has "shims". Can anyone tell me more about those...

Thanks Bob C. In looking at past postings, I see a trend related to sagging frames and cross shaft interference. The rod from brake pedal to cross shaft must be from a newer car, mine is a 29.
