I am new to the flatheads. Can you tell me if my 1940 ford 2 dr deluxe would typically have a 378 gearing or a 410 rear end ratio ? I like to drive right at 60 mph.

Switch the drums from left to right. See if it follows the drum or not. I had a drum that was not even and I suspected the axel.

I drive my 1930 two door around with out shocks . But it was not stable going around corners. I purchased a panard bar and installed on the front end. You have to try it to believe how good it works....

Mike, you are right on with the exhaust creating the vacume to relieve the crank case pressure. I did this on my model b engine and it works 100 percent. Moroso sells a kit with the exhaust bung...

Thank you guys for your thioughts and in put.I do not use a mechanical fuel pump,so I welded a fitting on the fuel pump block and added a second breather pipe.. My thoughts are if there is some way...
