The headlight buckets should have a gasket which is available from the Ford suppliers. There also is a rubber seal available for the lower front fenders.

My 39 had the return through the fuel pump bolt. I never could keep it from leaking oil between the fuel pump stand and intake manifole.

It takes a punch slightly less in diameter than the OD of the bushing ( so it will slip through) and either a press or a big hammer. They can be a pain.

If the rear end is overfilled with oil or the inner axle seals are bad, the gear oil can get into the bearing grease.

Yes, I do have a set of 6 brackets. They appear to be in good condition although a couple have some bending of the vertical leg but they should straighten OK. I would like $40 plus shipping.

You can buy replacement balls from Dennis Carpenter and some of the other suppliers. The one I got from Carpenter is similar to the old as they press in and then get peened over. Some of the others...
