Re: Exhaust manifold gasket question
The manifold washers are made to provide equal clamping load on the two manifolds, even when they (the tabs on the manifolds) are of unequal thickness. They just tilt a little and will equalize the...

Re: ethanol stripping
Buy ethanol free gas when you can. I buy at least ten gallons a week for my lawn mowers and tractors, and use it in my Model A's whenever I can get it.

Re: Car stolen in trailer
By the way, Ralph says the car was not tied down in the trailer in preparation for transport, so this car may need some cosmetic repairs by now.

Car stolen in trailer
One of our members, Ralph Wright, lost his Model A to a thief last week. He provided the following information:

Hi Folks,

Re: Double AA Lug wrench?
I have a 15" one with no numbers visible on it. I also have a Budd wrench with a number, and different length, which I am guessing is a little later than the AA wrench.

It's shaping up to be a wonderful museum, folks. Worked there today and will tomorrow, too. Grand opening ceremony is May 18. There is more interesting stuff there than you can imagine, and more...

Re: First car??
My first car was a '48 Kaiser that Grandpa had quit driving when he got a '56 Buick. I used to give the neighborhood kids thrill rides up and down the lanes on Grandpa's farm, which had steep enough...

Re: model a style 28-29 or 30-31
I voted for 28-29 style. Just to tease my fellow club members, I always tell them the later 30-31 models are just the result of cost-reduction programs.

Re: 1929 STEEL BACK 60C Blind Back HISTORY
Ron, that type of blind back (with an insert top) was what replaced the 60C body in late 29, and it is numbered 170-A. The 60C body is a very interesting design, and is shorter than the 170-A. You...
