The 38 is fine looking car, I think your choice of tires should suit you. I think it would look good. IMHO.

Checking Voltage

I need to be able to check the voltage to and from the coil. I don't know what kind of meter to get as I have not done this before.

This one does not have the steering column switch. Do you mean the resistor on the coil?

The 48 has been running well. Has new wire, rebuilt generator, rebuilt coil, new voltage regulator (NOS). Has been starting easily hot or cold.

Coincidence? I just went through this yesterday after having the generator rebuilt. After a few tries I found Forty Niner's method worked out best.

Before replacing the hinges and springs I used an aluminum handle from a Swiffer floor duster to hold the hood up. It had much more class than a wooden broom handle.

I also have a Noah and t s a great cover. I do remove it often to use the California car duster they make also. They offer different covers depending on your storage situation.
