Re: 34 trans top on 32 emergency adapter

That is the reason I put the phone number in Post #3, I couldn't get the web site to work either. I called and talked with him so he is still in business.

Re: Fan too far from radiator.

What did you finally decide on, a '32? An ad in the wanted section might get results.

Re: 34 trans top on 32 emergency adapter

Why don't you call them at their phone number I gave in Post #3 and ask? I am sure they could give a better response than I could.

I will take a shot. The full name is Model Engineering Company....

I also made mine before anything was available. Try MEC for one, (330) 644-3450.

Re: Fan too far from radiator.

Another problem you might have (not related to how close the fan is to the radiator) is the height of the generator/fan as determined by the intake manifold. If the generator/fan is too high the fan...

Re: New Guy

Start by putting your general location in your profile. You can never tell when it will help. Go to swap meets and shows and look around for a while. Maybe with a wanted sign on your back. If I...

Re: Detailing Products for Model B

Be sure to check with your insurance agent first. Also the last time I participated in a wedding I told them a roadster wasn't good for female passengers with fancy hair. Two of the bridesmaids...

Re: Fan too far from radiator.

The '32 fan is 4 1/2 from the from of the blades to the rear of the hub. That might be what you need. If that doesn't give you what you need one from a '33-'36 might work. The dimension for the...

Re: Late 31 stop light switch replacement

The last I checked there was a good switch available from A&L. The pictures show the switch from A&L, note the brass bushings. If not, try Bratton's. They will probably have two types, get the...

Re: 12 volt conversion

The problem is not the discharge side (unless there have been a lot of changes) but the charge side.

Re: Temp Probe Pipe Leak

If the part is new (just installed) SEND IT BACK. If the supplier won't take it back, give us their name. The only way the suppliers will stop selling low quality parts is if enough people return...

Re: 12 volt conversion

What makes you say that? I say that because in the case when the battery is low (like someone left the lights on) the alternator (or a regulated generator) will put out more current to rapidly...

Re: Head light focus with out lens?

I assumed the ones you were using were standard incandescents. What I am trying to say is that the lens changes the path of the light as evidenced by what happens when you use sealed beams behind...

Re: Head light focus with out lens?

When you place a sealed beam bulb behind an original lens it defocuses the beam so there is something going on with the lens. I wouldn't have expected the good result you are reporting.

Re: 32 stock 3:54 ring & pinnion early type

Post on the Model A forum asking "What is the best source for 3.54 rear end gears?". I think the answer will come back Bratton's Ford Parts, (301) 829-9880 or any of several other suppliers with a...

Re: Some days i just want to dig a moat

The portholes were a no cost option at least in '57. Most people got the portholes. I had one without portholes and it was dangerous to drive.
