Re: Scary ... What the hell happened ?

Thanks all, for taking the time to comment on my problem. I'm a little disappointed though. I thought it would be cut and dried ... didn't expect there to be so many possibilities. Since I'm no...

Scary ... What the hell happened ?

Out for a drive yesterday and a few blocks from home, the steering wheel started to shake and wobble quite violently. It felt like a front wheel was about to come off! A good thing I was in 2nd...

Re: London to Brighton again

Enjoyed the video ... and the music. We lived outside of Brighton for four years. Made that run myself, many times, but not in a model A. You would be surprised how easy it is to adapt to driving...

Re: Trexlertown, Pa. Swap & Show

Being a newbie to the world of model A's, I can't begin to express the thrill of attending yesterday's meet in Trexlertown. Having never seen more than one car at a time (while looking to buy mine)...

Re: Model A Meet, Trexlertown, PA. 4/22/18

This will be my first Model A Show/Meet. Really looking forward to it. As a new owner,
I've got a lot of questions for some of the old timers. Can't wait.

Re: Now why the heck couldn't they get it right?

I'm a bit of a maritime history buff and I watch all the documentaries on the subject that I can find.

The producers of these shows are the worst offenders of all. You guys think the car shows...

Re: 1929 Tudor 'Barner' count....

I'm new to model A's ... bought my '29 Tudor this past November. Completely restored but not by me, of course. Pretty much laid up for the winter. Can't wait for Spring.

Re: 29 A Battery Cables

cpf240 ... yeah, I checked with NAPPA, Advance Auto and one other. They acted like I was from Mars. Had no idea what I was talking about. Don't know of any family owned shops around here but that...

Re: 29 A Battery Cables

I'm in the process of installing a battery disconnect switch on my 29 Tudor. I sat and read every post on the subject by using the search. At first, the many varying opinions made it seem like...

Re: Removing an Air Maze filter

Well, some interesting replies, but nobody has actually answered my question. I'll try again ...

Will simply removing the filter cartridge be acceptable or, should I remove the whole thing...

Removing an Air Maze filter

Had a leak from my carburetor (29 Tudor) and saw that the Air Maze filter
(mounted directly below it) was soaked with gas.

Reading back over the many threads about the advantages and...

Re: Remember When??

Some great memories here ... made me think back to the fifties and me driving my customized '50 Ford to the infamous Adventure Car Hop on Route 22 in Union, NJ.

A huge place, and an evening...

Re: Old Car Collectors Aren't Dead Yet!

I agree with the article ... to a point. I'm 81 and just found the hobby. A year ago
I wouldn't have given an antique car a thought. Came upon it quite by chance.

Perhaps I'm naive and I'm...

Re: Newbie needs help ...

Thanks, 1955. I looked in all the model A catalogs I have, but nobody had anything like these. On your recommendation, I've already ordered the Lisle Carrier for about $20.00

And Seth, I tried...

Re: Newbie needs help ...

Well, here we go again ... I figured I'd take the battery out, run it down to my local
service garage and have them check it out. If it's still good, charge it up, if it isn't, get me a...

Blockhead ... No, no master shut off switch. Wish I did though. I'll tackle that project in the Spring.

Re: 1930 Sport Coupe at auction

Sorry ... I missed that bit. In my business I attend about three auctions a week. I always think of auctions as happening within a few days of hearing about them. I never plan for sales several...

Re: Newbie needs help ...

Thanks, JDupuis ... Just checked. No lights, no amp discharge from brake pedal.

I'll assume, then, that I've got a dead battery. But if it was caused by my leaving the ignition on, will it have...

So ... what was the outcome? Did you get it? What did it sell for? Don't keep us hanging.
