Both Homedepot an Lowes have black rubber floor matting in rolls. The stuff is about 1/16" thick. I believe the roll was 48" wide. It was sold by the linear foot.

That is all you need. Just make sure the cover and body surfaces are clean. Remove the old gasket from the cover and install the new one in its place.

I have a Southwind in mine. Like Lawson says it will provide more than enough heat. it is also fairly small.

Yes it can be done without pulling the engine. Jack the car up so the front end hangs free. Support the car on jack stands on the frame. Disconnect the wishbone at the ball. Use a modern scissor...

If it came in an 81 series block that needed sleeves (included with the block) it will be used. New rings, floaters check out in tolerance, itís going back together.

Check the drums for cracks. A cracked drum will expand when the brakes are applied and lock the wheel. I had this occurrence on the rear of my sedan delivery. the problem was cured with new drums.
