Re: Pictures and computer scanning/transfering

Check in your scanning software (usually in settings) and see if you can tell if it is scanning at 300 dpi, 600 dpi, etc. If you can change it, use the highest dpi you can on the software you have.

Re: A 1920 White, Yellowstone Bus

Glacier National Park has a fleet of 1936 - 1939 White buses still in use for tours. They have retrofitted the engine and transmission (Ford) for better driving, but the rest of the bus is like...

Re: Do you drive your A in the snow or stormy weather?

The last time we had snow in my area was about 1987 and it only stuck on the ground for a couple of hours. So I don't drive my Model A in the snow. We only get rain occasionally (although it rained...

Re: 7.0 Earthquake in Anchorage Alaska

Having experienced the Northridge earthquake (6.7 magnitude) here in SoCal several years ago, I agree with your statement. It does take a while for things to get back to normal, but they will. I...

Re: Ca. Fire photo

My first thought is whether the heat of the fire damaged the metal of essential parts such as the frame. Beyond that, I don't have any experience with a fire damaged vehicle. Good luck with...

Re: What size tyres for 1935 16" rims

I put the 600R16 tires on mine. I have also seen it recommended to use the same tires the base Toyota Rav4 uses which is 215/70R16.

Re: Bob's Modelahouse.com

I don't know where he is in California, but in my area (a couple miles from the fires), one major provider (mine) is still up. Another major provider is down throughout the area. He very well might...

Re: steering box

Recently purchased the Randy Gross steering box. I haven't installed it yet, but I have driven a Model A with one and it made for very easy steering. Also, Randy is a really good guy to do business...

Re: Oil Leak...I know i know, been asked 1000x!

Mine leaked like that when I lost the babbit on two of the main bearings. I agree with above to check what the condition of the bearings is. Have you drained the oil recently? Is there babbit in...

Re: Little Model A Fords

Fantastic layout and impressive detail on the cars, buildings, trains, and all. I have a Hubley coupe to build, but haven't gotten to it yet so no pictures.

Re: HELP! I can't start my 28 roadster!

Hopefully that person near you can help you. Just in case, it sounds like the car might be flooded if gas is dripping out of the carb. How long do you have the choke held out? It usually is held...

Re: Mitchell Over Drive 26% or 36%

I believe which ratio you choose depends on the type of driving you do (hills vs flat, slower back roads vs highway, etc). I have a 3.78:1 rear with the 26% Mitchell and it seems to work fine for...

Just curious. I know the pre-1905 London to Brighton run has a time limit to complete the run. Does this one have a time limit?

Re: backup camera

My Dad had a 1957 Country Sedan wagon. Before seat belts, my brother and I used to be back there, take naps in the back, and all kinds of stuff. Good memories.

Re: 3-D printed hard-to-find parts

If I'm not mistaken, the shift forks in the transmission are not reproduced. You can still find some good ones - I got some from Bert's. But that might be a possibility for the 3D printing?
