There is not much adjustment that can be done on a 7 tooth. I just upgraded my 29 with a 2 tooth, it makes a huge difference. The bottom end is common on all 2 tooth columns, you need the upper 29...

It's a tapered pin so make sure you are pounding in the correct direction. It should break loose

I am assuming it's an early 30 with the clamp on the gas tank. If this is the case the clamp would have to be cut off. It's rivited onto the gas tank, late 30/31 had a different column clamp. Newer...
