Re: Lug nuts from Third Gen Auto
The Ford nuts have a 13/16" hex, 1/2-20 thread and a 60º cone. There are lots of nuts around that don't have the hex size or cone angle right.

Re: 1932 floor board sealer
A word about floorboards: They were not made of seven ply birch veneer kitchen cabinet grade plywood on a CNC router. From what I've seen, they were made of coarser material and recesses were made...

Re: U bolts on yoke of open drive banjo rear
I wound up needing odd U joints when I had to replace the center unit in my four window coupe. The replacement unit came from a later higher HP car and used larger U joints so I had to find...

Re: Troubleshooting Transmission '47 pickup

My mistake!! Should have said 29 tooth cluster. (Thanks Tim!)

Re: '46 v8 to long to fit '34 truck frame?
I'm out of realm of knowledge here but '33-'34's had different length torque tubes for V8 and 4 cylinder engines. Is it possible he's using the longer of the two and would benefit from using the...

Re: Differences '29 to '30 windshield?
To the best of my knowledge, '28-'29 didn't have a "fold down" posts but it seems that through the years, multiple sources have made up "hybrid" posts. Things get complicated because it turns out...

Thanks Rusty! I'm working on a '29 (Brookville body) roadster and I'm currently playing with adapting '31 "fold down" windshield stanchions to it. I have the '29 windshield I got when I got the body...

Re: Screw dropped into radiator
Isn't it possible that they could get into the pumps through the upper hoses? If so, could they damage one of the pumps? If you're going magnet fishing, you might have better luck going into the...

Re: What is it???
English would have been right hand drive though, huh?
I was impressed at how the rear fenders are blended into the gas tank??

Re: Thank You Thank You Thank You
Years ago, I bought a "drag link socket" from Sears. (Remember them?) It's a hefty flat screw driver blade, 1/2" drive. I use it with my impact screwdriver. I also use it for the trans shifter detent...

I passed this on the way home after getting the grand kids to after school practices yesterday. I didn't want to walk further up the driveway to get more pix but I did see that it's left hand drive.

OK. It's been awhile and it's not exactly like I remember.

Re: PCV valve for my H six ?
My old coupe has a PCV valve horizontally screwed into the base of the carb. I think it's a 3/8" pipe thread and it's connected to a big rubber grommet where the road draft tube existed before PCV....
