Information needed on the 160-C Slant Window Fordor Sedans

The 160-C Slant Window Fordor Sedan made its appearance about April 1931.

The indented firewall was introduced about May 1931.

With that in mind, there must have been 160-C's with flat...

Before you go to all the trouble to take the body off even if you are thinking about it...or not...just key out the frame features and get an idea of its production time period.

Start by investing in some Model A books and join the local Model A Club in the area, I think the club in Spokane is the closest to you. It is a MAFCA Chapter...That is Model A Ford Club of America....

OK now...so it was an original assembled car restored to original condition.

Now...what you need to do is get a copy of the current MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards...

Sometimes you can remove the Carburetor Inlet Filter Screen from the carburetor with no problems and if in good condition you can reuse it.

However a lot of times the removal is not so great thus...

A roll pin did the job...forks are very tight and used Russ's idea of wire to keep them safe!

So here is an update...I got one of the pins in (with a flat head) and was able to peen over the "skirt" in the rivet. HOWEVER...it did not secure the fork to the shaft as it was to damn loose.
