This is where it is headed .
After talking with Jon I am comfortable with his shop doing the plating .

I'll let you know how it turns out .

Fenders are body color . Yes there can be exceptions to this but black fenders on 33 and body color on 34 is normal .

X2 on this . Note the LF door is pretty much in place . Top was down and booted . Could be some distortion on the right doors and rear body . That said a new chassis cowl and front tinwork and -----?...

Chrome shop using dull nickel .

Read somewhere there is a chrome shop that uses the old style dull nickel .
I have a NOS 33-34 roadster windshield frame [std-painted] that I want to plate and some trim pieces also .

Here's a pair of what I call number 2's . Note the hole for the early headlight support rod is still there . The hole for the newer type support rod is there also . That is why the number 2 type...

Factory fill calls for 4 oz .
You are overfilling it badly .
If your tranny is not taking any in your tourque tube is probably full of grease .

You say the back of the bell is leaking . Not...

Any ideas on getting a couple windshield frame gaskets-seals for 33-34 phaeton-roadster .

Original stepped frames .

Drake says obsolete and no stock left .

Also the speedo gear gasket and driveshaft seal [ installed properly ] adds up to being able to use a more liquid lube .

Your brake cross shat will be happier also .

I use felt and SAE 140...

I would not use GL1 period . GL1 is straight mineral oil with no EP additives .






Post 4 has a good option [ my choice for steering box , trans , u-joint and rear .

Have them trued up . Tire cutters around here cut tires down for racers and also dealers that are replacing partial sets . Makes the new ones look like the used ones . Also makes them perfectly round...

Not to muddy the waters but if none of the above works out I have some including a pair marked +030 . +060 is max .
