I get my 90 deg from Ace Hardware, Amazon, MSC DIRECT, or similar with viton seal. Recollection it's 1/8" MINI with compression and assorted brass fittings to connect after the filter. Check on line.

Yup; not for show, but get rid of the orig. style and use a new modern lever ball valve cut into the gas line with compression fittings. If inside valve, don't want fuel inside the car. Suggest also...

What length are the springs, approx 1" ?? Maybe too stiff? I have to use a plastic hammer to knock the rods over the balls sometimes. The springs should compress approx. 25% , so if 1 " long, approx....

Did you try to see if it fits or can be adapted somehow under the dash rail on your '29 ? That style is used as you state on later cars with 2 tooth steering and bolts to the cross rail mating...

Lot's of forum threads about 600 wt. the vendors sell which is equivalent to approx. modern SAE 140 , imho too thin. The corn head can liquify some and leak a little also with heat and settlement....

Sometimes the threaded fittings will fit by screwing them in without a tap. Sometimes locktitie on the press in types may be required because grease pressure may force them out.

Note these are Nylon bias ply tires, which may exhibit flat spots when sitting. The Lucas Tires are similar nylon at $99 ea. You may want to find out where they are made.

1939 Buick 1st production car in US with t.s. After Jan 1956, all cars in US required to have them by law. Some European makes had the semiphore signals early on. Check out the article also.

You may have to pull it. The radiator( and shell) can slide laterally a small amount also in the elongated holes to help attain proper hood to shell gaps, but as stated the top bearing can't slide...
