I always used Tremclad cut 50% with mineral spirits. 2 or 3 coats over 2 or 3 days gave it a chance to soak in. Closest thing to chassis black like they us to use back in the day.

Does anyone know if an adjustable lower bearing is available. I have replaced the bearings, the worm gear, the sectorshaft. Rebuilt the end of the steering shaft, etc. etc. but I still have about 2"...

Odd one to me. Looks like a Coupe or Roadster but it's too narrow. Plus the rolled edge looks like a Aftermarket fender as it's not rolled nicely and it's missing the fine lines along the rolled...

Also Check the Toe-In. Should be 1/16" Make a big difference with the Darting of the CAR. Had the same thing with my car and I had rebuilt everything. But I had toe out. Set it right now the car...

Check to see if the Distributor is grounding to the engine. Put a jumper between the dist. body anda ground. Sometimes rust will form between the too and you get a poor ground. My thoughts.

I would check and see if the armature is clean. after sitting for a few years there may be a bit of corrision stopping the motor from running. I rebuilt my motor like this and there rather if'y.

There could also be rubber boots on the ends of the motor where it mounts. Make sure you clean off the windshield frame where the brass strip grounds under the mounting screw. JP

If you soak the lift channels on each side with lacquer thinners and let it sit for a hour, then take a wood block and a hammer they should come off without having to beat on them. If they don't move...

I have a vibration, comes on about 1/4 throttle. I think this is worth a try. If this works then I'll bond the weight to the pressure plate with some structural adhesive. Interesting.
