Re: Stipe Oil pumps

If my foundry ever gets on the stick, I’ll have the oil filter/relief valve housing available. It has an external adjustable relief valve so you can set your pressure to the desired amount. My...

Re: American Classic Tires

The tubes had rectangular blemishes and leaked from the blemish. I didn’t notice them when I mounted them, but after a short period of time they failed to hold air. Another one of the 5 started to...

Re: American Classic Tires

The ridge on black walls appear to be same shape as whitewalls. I installed with larger letters to outside on my black walls. I had a bad experience with the tubes that had radial molded on the valve...

Re: Whats up with Ecklers

Jeff, sorry to hear about what happened in Illinois. My sister-in-law was a teacher for over 30 yrs. Unfortunately she received very little before she died. Their health insurance was just as bad as...

Re: Whats up with Ecklers

In my opinion this is why employees should have filed a class action law suit especially when employees pension fund is involved. How do I know? I once worked for a company that shut down and...

Re: New Engine QA and Paul Shinn's Concerns

Another area that should be checked is the thrust surfaces of the crankshaft. A bad spot will show up on the thrust bearings.

Re: New Engine QA and Paul Shinn's Concerns

Not the bearing surface, on the backside where the clearance is tight next to the stud. The procedure is in the online builders guide download at modelaengine.com

Re: New Engine QA and Paul Shinn's Concerns

Experienced builders file the corners of the bearing inserts where they are close to the studs at #1 and #3 main bearings. I’ve seen similar situations of this having happened.

“If we just ran a...

Re: New design turn signals for Model A?

In the past year I’ve driven over 22,000 miles with a signal stat 900 with no problems. I use it every time I change lanes or make a turn. Not saying there might be better solutions out there, I...

Re: 32b head gasket help? Which one?

I only use this gasket and pretty much have followed the same procedure CWPASADENA does to install. Believe it or not, that leaking stud and nut shown above could have been prevented with spray on...

Re: 32b head gasket help? Which one?

Re: New Focused-Beam LED Headlights

I don’t rely on grounding through the bar to frame etc. I use the third wire for a ground.

Re: Odd Shaped Hole in Radial Tube

Here’s 1 of those blemished tubes that was loosing air a few days ago. It would lose about 5 lbs a day. I decided after needing air after the first fill it has something wrong. I suspected tube and...

Re: Odd Shaped Hole in Radial Tube

I have the same blemish on at least 2 tubes and started to leak air either a day after mounted or several days. These tubes have radial molded on the stem and I seriously doubt they are radial tubes....

Re: Early Oil Pan

There should be no holes in the dipper tray. I would definitely use the later dipper tray before late 31. Look in the RGJS for the different trays and pans throughout the production.
