Re: Tire balancing with Hunter # 125B Tire Spinner Portable Wheel Spin Balancer

For free I would love to have one. Why. Because I have wasted so much time installing 4oz of beads in the front and 6oz of antifreeze in the rear.

At about 50-65 I start to get a vibration in...

Tire balancing with Hunter # 125B Tire Spinner Portable Wheel Spin Balancer

Has anyone ever used one of these to balance tires. If so, how do you do it?

I have been looking to buy one but none have instructions.

It looks like they need to clamp something to the side...

World Wide Investments & Stephen Edwards. Do you know them?

I am selling a car on Hemmings and this guy called me.

Has anyone heard of them or dealt with them?

For $200 it sounds good, but I want to make sure they are not a scam. They only take checks...

Re: Backfiring when clutching

Riv, take off your fan belt and start it up to check for leaks. That way you don't have the fan air blowing around.

Re: Fuel Filter

I also use the NAPA3039 for 4-5 dollars.

Unlike Dodge I have to alter the gasket to free up the holes. If the holes are covered the fuel does not flow.

Re: Tire changers, do you use the DIY units?

I ended up doing it exactly like 160B #8.

Tried it both ways. Like 160B and on the car. No comparison. On the car is much harder than on the homemade stand.

I won't talk about the pinched...

Re: Model B carburetor

So purdy, when you say "slightly lowering the level of the float has solved the problem".

Would you set it for 6/8 or 7/8 below the seam instead of 5/8?

Re: So Henry ... why is my banjo round?

That cool, thanks for the post.

I never thought there was a reason for the shape other than the gears being round.

Re: Ford 150 OD Transmission install in 31 Roadster

What do you think of installing a drain plug on the bottom of the F150? Has anyone done it?

It would beat sucking it out and it would drain 100% of the oil.

Re: Ford 150 OD Transmission install in 31 Roadster

I asked Dave about changing the oil because the trans does not have a drain plug.

His answer was you do not change the oil.

That sure sounds odd to me.

What are you guys doing about f150 oil...

Re: Speedo is “jumpy”

I agree. Somewhere the cable is kinked, maybe not much but it is. I would remove the inside cable, clean it and as DZ mentioned use some lubriplate on it.

I have had good luck with AGS.

Re: Snyder’s 6:1 head

I also use the nurex tool for timing the 6.1 head and use normal 4.2 timing.

I am using the copper head gasket.
