Re: Swap 46 transmission internals into a 37 box
If you really have a 37 transmission, the synchro looks like a donut with a slot in the center. The side shifters have the later synchro which looks like a hockey puck with a slot towards its rear. ...

Re: Brake knocking
I don't know if it is the cause of your thumping, but you are missing a clip which prevents the emergency cable return spring from entering the tube. The spring pushes the lever always into the...

Prior...

Re: transmission case lube
Doesn't this defeat the purpose of the oil slinger? It would make sense on open drive transmissions with a rear seal to keep oil within the trans but lubricate the speedo gears.

Yes, something is not right. Is the hood too tight? If so look at the latching area (grille bar and hood latch). If the hood is snug, look at the locking mechanism. The 41 hood handle is...

Re: ‘35 Panel delivery, is this a stock weld?
On a 33/34 car, the roof was not one stamping. The front cowl ended about where your weld is. But on the 33, it was leaded together. Looks like on the 35 they went to welding the front and back...

Re: 32 V8 transmission gears
It doesn't go together easily. The rear thrust washer has a larger diameter than the 32 style so the cluster does not drop down to get the input shaft in. Also the front of the cluster is wider...
