No need to alter anything on the exhaust. Stuff some steel wool into
the exhaust pipes when your wife is with you. It will quiet the exhaust down . After a while it blows out on it's own. ...

I just let it them expire in the winter while in storage. When it is time to take them out in the spring, I just drive it up the street and get it inspected. Have been doing it like this for years...

That was a lot of good stuff. With the new suspension and chassis mounts, the 54 was so much easier to install later Ford engines also.

From what I see, the black paint looks good. After doing the body work including the fenders, I would touch up the body and paint the fenders off the car then reinstall them.
