more good stuff Mercman! the hatch in the roof may have been military, but usually the roof gun locations were a heavy steel round thing that actually had a trolley running around the top so the gun...

Good explanation Brian. if the factory center is off, we assume it moved from abuse, or was off from new? also, the extra slot in the OP's question, why? what does it feed, the fuel pump push rod?

easily recognized in that they use a conventional type of bell housing on the back of the block, unlike the earlier blocks with half the bell on the block, and half on the tranny. have fun with your...

the two ports for the sending unit, and the filter line are 1/4" npt, if thats what you are lookin for

i have pretty much the same as the OP, 59a, 4" crank. i cut the lip off the 9" flywheel, bought new PP and disc from FT Wayne, had the assembly balanced, and i can make it slip at low RPM's. high RPM...

not sure i would trust copper fittings and solder on the pick up tube, call Vanpelts Sales and get a new one!
