nkaminar.....if the crank is 360 degrees out, the rotor would be 180 degrees out I am guessing.
That was the first issue I had, but got that resolved and timing dimple was visibly and tactically...

Thanks, Paul....distributor in there has an original upper plate that it always ran well with.....but suddenly shut down idling in my driveway.
The cam screw would not loosen so had a local pro...

engine slows when advance timing
Start the engine, slowly take the choke off and let it warm a bit, slowly advance timing from full retard to moderate advance.....and the idle speed starts to slow down and almost die out.

I remember a friend bought an old Cadillac that was in a garage, and a large tree had grown up in front of the garage door and had to be cut down to get the car out.
But that pic "takes the cake"...

Put a new condenser in the original dizzy that caused the car to lose spark. No change.
Put in back up dizzy and now have spark with plugs removed when cranking, just can't reset timing due to...

I remember gas at $ .19 (19 cents) a gallon in Detroit in gas wars in 1969.
But my Ram Air GTO required Sunoco 260 at 24.9 cents per gallon though :)
