I use to have a vapor lock problem until I started using Marvel Mystery oil.:)
Even had the problem in my '29 Chevy and it had a mechanical fuel pump. Again MMO to the rescue.

Thumbs up Re: Simmons head

I've got some Simmons intakes, carbs & a head. What I like about them is they are from the same era of when the Model-A was a new car. Not 1940's, 50's, etc. As far as the Winfield carb, 'oh yeah,...

[QUOTE=Ak Sourdough;1985574]Here's a good price on a gauge that looks vintage enough for me and has the correct scale for our unpressurized cooling systems.

I went to eBay and bought me one....

Thumbs up Re: 28-29 vs. 30-31 roadster bucket/cab?

I'm 6 ft, 245 lbs and have owned both '29 and '31 roadsters. I only have a '31 roadster now. One of main reasons I kept it is because I fit a whole heck of a lot better! ;)

Smile Re: Never Tried To Restore

A 7-tooth steering gear was the hardest assembly I have restored. Shocks, babbit, & rear-ends are to complicated for me. Plus, the lack of proper tools.
