Just wondering if anyone has any idea what these items at the left side of the dash might be ? The car is a 1929 tudor currently listed on the local Craigslist.

Use a straightedge and measure for warpage with feeler gauges or shim stock - rotate the straightedge around the area in question.

If you are shifting into high gear at 10 mph you are shifting too early for a 4 banger and you are lugging the engine and putting stress on the driveline components. Try waiting til you're up closer...

I think it depends on how much sleep you want to get ..... 3 months is 480 man-hours at 40 hours a week. Not sure why frame sag is an issue for a static display - is it severe??

Pan needs to come off and windage tray removed (snaps out) and all the gunk removed. You also should pull the valve cover on the side of the engine and clean that out. Others should chime in with...

The old coolcan from drag racing works, as does just taking a coffee can and putting a couple coils of fuel line inside and pack it with ice. Possibilities are endless ..... cold fuel keeps your carb...
