Thank you - unfortunately the car is more of a project than i want to take on at this time but it is an interesting idea for the non-purist who wants something different.

Use a straightedge and measure for warpage with feeler gauges or shim stock - rotate the straightedge around the area in question.

If you are shifting into high gear at 10 mph you are shifting too early for a 4 banger and you are lugging the engine and putting stress on the driveline components. Try waiting til you're up closer...

I think it depends on how much sleep you want to get ..... 3 months is 480 man-hours at 40 hours a week. Not sure why frame sag is an issue for a static display - is it severe??

The old coolcan from drag racing works, as does just taking a coffee can and putting a couple coils of fuel line inside and pack it with ice. Possibilities are endless ..... cold fuel keeps your carb...
