There are two screws holding the ring and the center button can be lifted off. The screws are located at 3 and 9 o,clock with the wheel straight like your picture is. If the horn works I wouldn't...

When we removed the tran. and OD> from my l949 convertible we had to remove the steel panel under the hump under floor mat. The top, LH bolt was the problem with X frame.

Question about Generator/ Alternator

I am looking for a alternator and looks like a stock generator. It needs to be 12 volt. Macs used to have them listed for around $400 plus.
I have not heard much about them as of late. Question...

They are not the same. I have both. They can be made out of weather stripping but it not easy. And if you don't get just right after a while the rubber looses its stength and the horn will hooks...

Ken did you use red or white like the originals. These bulbs should be much cooler than the originals. Did you notice the difference?

Compression Tester

Looking to purchase a Tester. Harbor Freight has them from @17.00 and up.
They are China I'm sure and may not be much good! NAPA has one for $45.00. Anyone have a Napa tester???? Good or Bad?

My Ford Parts Manual lists them as 5/16 - 18 x 7.15 inches. If it has Fordomatic the length is 7.65 inches.

The seal is in the overdrive casting, not on the solenoid. Oil has not come out when I have removed the solenoid.
