Re: Town Car Deliveries

There are two 1931 town car deliveries in this video, including the one pictured above that belonged to the late Tim Kelly.

Re: So you have an all original car...OK...

They were removed in the 1950's for some reason. I have a set, though not original to that car, so I could always put them on for judging. But the car is just being preserved as it has been handed...

Re: So you have an all original car...OK...

Valid point. By the way, a few years ago, I posted a portion of a video I shot while riding in Marco's roadster. That car is unreal.

My tudor sedan is restored with nothing but N.O.S....

Re: So you have an all original car...OK...

There is quite a debate about what is original going on in the comments under this Model A video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqA28sHrWiA

Admittedly, the video is stupid. All it was...

Re: Distributor Seized

No. Except one thing- I'd stick with fiber timing gears. The laminated ones, to be specific.

Re: E 85

Model A didn't seem to care. However, there was a noticeable loss of fuel economy.

Re: Carburetor noise...

If the air bleed screw is adjusted in all the way, then it will sound like that. However, that also almost certainly means an intake leak if that's the setting it runs best.

Re: MAFCA National convention

Thanks, Jim.

That's a real shame. I suspect this will be over the hump well before then.

The Sonora A's hosting the NCRG gathering in June is still on.

It is a simple repair for someone with that skill set. I'm an electrical and electronics engineer. I can design and build a radio or TV station with half my brain tied behind my back. Ask me to...

Re: pop out cable restoration

Hey Tom!

Do you know who could restore an original 29 gear shift lever bottom end? It's a bit worn. I don't want to go repro. I'm betting the virus you'd know who can do it.

Thank you!

Because I'm a conservative, if I even mention this out loud,...

Re: Driver Licneses In a Model A Lately

Re: Exhaust fumes

Most likely, blowby coming out the oil fill tube. It finds its way in through gaps in the floorboards or around the steering column. Pretty common, especially if your motor has a lot of time on it.
