I had the same problem with the EMS panels. My metal guy here in Atlanta did a terrific job making them fit, but he had to cut them twice along the lip edge as they didn't fit the opening as...

The cap and fitting end up pretty close to the floor. Somewhat of a PITA to get it all just so.
I put the hole in the floor to visualize any possible leaking , so far, none seen.

I have a remote in my 36.The kit for it came from an outfit in Washington state. They have numerous remote fill adapters for various makes. I did have to wait for the correct size for the 39 and up...
