Easy to remove and can be tested on bench by using drill to cause rotation and test for continuity with ohm meter. Centrifugal force causes points to operate. Test by one meter lead on...

Suspect voltage should be in the 3-5 volt range. 1.5 volt C battery is used to test gauge. Good gauge should move to middle of range. 3 volt c battery moves gauge to end of range

There is a good explanation, with pictures of the adapter used on the convertible and station wagons with x frame as well as the rotation of the flat spot on the solenoid in the Early Ford v8 Club...

More than likely the trouble is in the horn button assembly at the steering wheel.

Tight to the floor board. Has been working fine for over 10 years. As stated above you need to make sure that the switch operates properly when pedal is depressed.

My 52 f1 with 8RT is painted with Hirsh engine enamel 5670+5003 Lincoln Mercury light green. Hits home makes excellent engine paint.

Try your local glass shop. I just had the mirror glass replaced on a round mirror for my 52 F1. $40.00

Most glass shops replace/install mirror glass
