Does the new pump have a collar with a set screw to adj end play?? Put the pumps side by side, what are the differences??

In my opinion the State issued VIN plate decreases the value of the car...........

The hood does NOT need to come off. Loosen the 2 rad support rods, cut a piece of wood log enough to support the hood when you pull the radiator towards the light bar. Insert a piece(s) of cardboard...

Find an "old time" spring/front end shop (possibly one that deals in big trucks), give them the dimensions you need, they will be able to "form" your axle to get the "correct" caster.

Replace the gasket and/or install the tube, THEN add PennRite steering box lube. NO leakee.

You didn't here it here but.............re-stamp your 36 engine with the previous number. Only you will know, and I'm sure it's been done thousands of times in the past 90 years.

I've read that to INSTALL them people put washers between the coils to EXPAND the spring. Would probably work just as well to remove the spring. FWIW

Had a 40 with a 57 olds and a 39 tranny. Never "got on" it as I didn't want to change tranny or broken axle. Never sheared an axle key either. My new 40 has a 59a and 39 tranny, dual 97's and...
