leveled off the car as i was defying gravity before. removed the spark plugs to get a stronger spin, and demonstrated patience before the fuel bowl filled. ok now. thanx to all!

thanks to all. I will post my results after yet another fuel pump rebuild and a new push rod as mine shows indication of wear.:)

i've tried 2 different fuel pumps (rebuilt), one with glass bowl sealed good, one original style w/ no glass bowl. I,ve tried leather spacers too with no suction. i have original intake, new block...

my engine rebuilder wants to know if the qt. can of RSP6Q that I shipped to him from third gen auto can be applied with spray gun directly or needs to be thinned. Any comments?

81A vs 59A

Other than the obvious raised intake and exhaust ports on the 81A block and the "59" on the bell housing casting on the 59A, will the crank and cam interchange between the two?

Why would you pull the engine to replace the clutch when all you need to do is pull the rear back several inches and drop the tranny. ( its easier)
