before you install it I would check the cam bearing clearance I have two rebuilds that have low or no oil pressure at hot idle, both have reground cams and standard bearings- my fault for not...

I had this on a 59AB, while scraping off carbon I soon realized I was digging into the block. The cast iron was about as hard as pencil lead. No saving that one!

Thom, Before you buy the new valves check the size of the stems. Tee' s will wear the valve guides, (the block), and you will have to use larger stems, good luck, Chuck.

Has anyone had any experiences with the diff used in ford half ton trucks, I think they were a Dana 40. Will they hold up ok with a 302 and an automatic, in a 34, thanks Chuck.

I had a similar problem on my 49 when I replaced the clutch and p plate. The replacement clutch disks are not made correctly, they should have a cushion (a wavy metal disk) between the friction...
