Very true. I meant to ask the OP. When you said you had oil pressure, are we talking for a few minutes or for a while, then you heard the sound and then nothing?

It is a Regular. I have a new Slingshot that I was going to use, but it just looks out of place since it is so new. I need to figure out a way to “age” it.

At some point, I do plan to run a 4x2...

Number #3 can also be checked by taking motor out and removing flywheel/PP and clutch. Doesn’t need a total tear down to figure it out. It’s odd, not all cams have this and the new replacement...

I agree. Metric rings are the way to go. I was amazing how easily the motor can be turned over. I'll have to ask Ronnie to confirm the exact details, but originally Ross sent us the wrong-sized...

I'm pretty sure no. Same angle, but not the same exact plate. The starter plate in the picture is for a truck.

I do not think the stamped steel starter plate has the large dimple in the center...

Thinking about it, Charlie, the bed and torque tube seem to complicate things. The floor of the bed is pretty close the torque tube. Not much space to mount something across the frame, but maybe...

I didn't get it from Pete, but I wish I had. I got it from Bill Jenks @ Moon about 15 years ago.

It took quite of bit of work to get it timed right. Ronnie had to redrill and plug...

If I understand correctly, the small logo 97's were factory. Large logo were sold aftermarket by Stromberg.

Most guys like the large logo for the eye candy factor, but they are the same carb.

I picked up the short block from Ronnie Roadster last Friday. One step closer to getting it fired up.

-Factory relieved 59L block
-3 3/8" + .030" bore X 4" stroke ...
