Leaking carb
I am getting fuel leaking from where the choke rod enters. This is surprising since there is a fuel shutoff to prevent this. Does that mean i have a bad shutoff valve?

i took it to a friend today who has a sthesiscope and he thinks its a broken piston pin in the 4th cilinder. we looked in the trans inpec plate and he didnt think it was wobling so he thinks the rear...

ok so i put the timing pin in while it was running and it wasnt the gear slapping back and forth.
there is no in and out movement on the water pump shaft and i touched the distributor shaft and it...

i gotcha. i was pouring mine in the top of the trans with the shifter still off. so les A. said 1 and half pint in trans, and 2 1/4 for rear?

shifter plate rivets
does anyone know how to use the 3 tube rivets and rectangle plates that are for attaching the shifter plate to the floor bourds?

but where on that operating shaft? it has a hole in the center. i thought it should go at the end of the king pin between the back plate.

there is 2 felts. one is under a cup washer true, but that goes between the axle and spindle (second path through spindle). im talking about the small dime size one.

question. the donut shaped felt wafer used in the front brakes. it seems the best place for that to go is between the end of the king pin and the back plate where it goes horizontal and the wedge...

did the job yesterday with my friends oxy acty torch. worked fine. i think mike here is right, you can do it with just acetylene. the oxy is needed if you are welding and need that pretty puddle....
