Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
My condolences to Don's family and the CCF crew. I had the privilege of first meeting Don at the Barners Bash in '09. An all around good guy to hang with. He will be missed.
Rest in peace Don.

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
I am running Runtz in the pickup. The only down side is they are $15.00 each. one is required per gauge. These were in the pickup when I bought it. A Ford gauge voltage reducer was available...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
Nice score on the switches. You can concentrate on getting the LZ on the road without having to refurb the old one. Have fun Saturday.

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
You might be able to save the switch. Get a decent soldering iron, 30 watts should do, and the widest solder wick you can find at Radioshack. Lay the wick on the blob then place the hot iron on top...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
Hmmm. Sounds like an event needs planning. The end of September would be perfect for a foliage tour. We could replicate the NE summer bash or just have a get together of NE barners. Let me know...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
A back up system is always good. I probably should do the same with the pickup. It seems the VL symptoms vanished with the installation of a new tank.
As far as getting back to the south, not in...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
You may have solved your "vapor lock" problem. A partially blocked filter and crud in the tank can contribute to or act like "vapor lock" by increasing vacuum in the fuel line.

Vic,
Do you have more pictures of the Chrysler turbine that you could send me? I actually had the opportunity to have a ride in one. The biggest user complaint was the throttle lag. It took 2 to...

The 2014 Bash was a great time. We really enjoyed it. You and the Cigar City Flathead crew did an excellent job on setting it up.
Enjoy the Amielia Island event. Take lots of pictures.

No more than $300.00. Too much is unknown. You might only end up with engine internals an OD trans case. A pig in a poke is the right description. Good luck if you go for it.

It looks like the only thing holding the fan to the hub is the rubber section. If the fan came completely loose it may fall back into the belts. It doesn't look like it could go forward towards the...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
The 2 component RTVs/urethanes that V8coopman mentioned are a good solution. These are commonly use in aircraft components that see high vibration. The key is to have clean parts and to de-gas the...
