Step one : fill with water see it it leaks. step 2 if no leaks do a search on this forum for cleaning radiator

My method 1) put some fuel in, 2) agitate it with an airline 3) drain 4) repeat until clear (or bored) - No sparks anywhere please!

Over here in UK I reckon the prices have kept on par with inflation generally over the twenty years period. ( maybe marginally better), but that does exclude all the $$$ I've spent on...

Yes I concur with Brad the smaller engine was 18mm dia venturi ( approx 0.7 inch). Suspect that the venturi in the OP is someone's experimentation.

I am always wary of going by any timing marks ever since I came across a Vauxhal (GM to you guys) with superfluous timing marks drilled on the flywaheel. All became OK when we ignored these rogue...

Any visual difference between cut out and electronic regulator?

How can you tell the difference between 1) a simple mechanical cutout 2) an electronic regulator and 3) a cutout that's got a diode in it . Is there any simple way of checking what's inside them...

how long do they last before they're pitted/burnt out? Some of the "modern" type points in particular are poor quality and seem to last only 2000 miles or so whatever.

yeah I agree, but I wondered if anyone had a good suggestion as to where those ideals exist in a Tudor ! ( along with a good earth to frame ideally)

Best location for master switch in a Tudor

I'm wanting to fit a battery master cut off switch inside the cabin of a 1930 Tudor (preferably on the "ground " side - not the live ). Where's a good place to fit it?

What electrical shut off valve have you fitted? I have alweays thought them a prudent measure but so far I have refrained from fitting them as "they're just something else to go wrong"

lift the hood and grasp the choke driver with a pair of pliers to free off the GAV- you'll probably be able to turn it back and forward by hand control after that initial freeing

Yes had identical symptoms for a while... backfired about 10 seconds after I turned the ignition off after hot fast runs. I overcame the issue by ensuring I idled it slow for about 10 seconds ...

I've never had any problem with a thin smear of blue hylomar on gaskets for 90 year old carbs! this problem in OP #1 could be as others have said fuel inlet union .

Does Waze always work out of phone range? I can nearly always get a GPS signal , but using a phone app is uncertain in some patches because of areas of poor phone coverage

Experts on the Fordbarn have establlished that GPS and cell phone work OK on 6 v systems . Can some one tell me if they only work on a regulated system (eg voltage regulator or alternator )....or...
